Latin Prose Composition
Develop a Latin slogan and/design idea for the 2009-2010 Latin Club T-shirts.

Incipit (10-min) 2009 A Cat Odyssey : watch clip and write a title for the story, in Latin.
I. "fons sacra." Explanation of five-point rubric (logos, ethos and pathos). Journals checked for accuracy, completion and great impression. Text translated and corrected. Students self-assessed in journals.
II. de lingua latina: participles perfect passive and present [introduced]; ablative of agency, a/ab + [noun ablative] + perfect passive participle. Text exercises entered in journal.
III. Rehearsal: Greek alphabet. One student has it nearly fully memorized!
IV. POIESIS: Grid was circulated and options discussed. Students will select options on Friday.
On the Dock for Friday: A 5-point quiz about knowing the parts of your textbook. Further work in text. Introduction to Hestia project and students will select POIESIS options.
